Notice templates · Film and TV crews
A filming letter that tells residents what to expect on the street, where the trucks will park and who to call, without giving away more than the production wants to.
Quick answer: A filming notice tells residents when the crew will be there, where trucks and the unit base will park, any parking or traffic changes and a contact on set. The council film officer usually sets the area and how many days ahead it must arrive.
Send it once the location and dates are confirmed and before the trucks arrive. Councils that issue filming permits usually require written notice to residents and businesses around the set and the unit base, often a few days to a week before the shoot. The film officer will tell you the radius and timing they expect.
Change everything in [square brackets], delete anything that does not apply and check it against your own conditions before you print.
