Notice templates · Solar and battery installers
Solar jobs are quick, but a ladder truck, panels on the footpath and a short power cut can still surprise the neighbours.
Quick answer: A solar installation notice tells neighbours the install date, where the truck and ladders will be, whether any shared power supply will be off briefly and who to call. Deliver it to adjoining homes a few days before, and give more notice to anyone whose power will be interrupted, as your network’s rules require.
Solar and battery installs are usually done in a day or two, so a notice is a courtesy rather than a requirement. It becomes important when the job needs a switchboard upgrade or meter change that briefly cuts power to a shared supply, such as townhouses or a battle-axe block.
Any planned interruption to another customer’s supply has its own notice rules, set by the electricity network. Follow those as well.
