Notice templates · Pyrotechnicians and venues
The most useful thing a fireworks letter does is give pet and livestock owners enough warning to plan. This template puts that front and centre.
Quick answer: A fireworks notice tells residents the date, start time and length of the display, where it is fired from and who to contact. Deliver it to the homes around the firing site before the display, as your permit, venue or council requires.
Send it once the display is confirmed and approved, ideally a week or more beforehand. In NSW the licensed pyrotechnician notifies SafeWork NSW and the relevant agencies. Councils and venues often add their own requirement to notify nearby residents in writing, so check the conditions of your approval.
Change everything in [square brackets], delete anything that does not apply and check it against your own conditions before you print.
